HCI@Large workshop call

The purpose of this workshop is to provide an arena where we can compare visions, processes and methods used in various learning contexts where people is educated to the design for the mediated communication, that includes and cannot exists without the interaction between human and machine.

We encourage, thus, contributions from interaction designers, technology developers, computer scientists, cognitive scientists, anthropologists, designers and architects, expert of technology enhanced education, designers for the experience, etc. that are engaged in all aspects related to educational practices related to the interaction between human and machine.

The participation to the workshop will be limited to 40 very motivated people.

Important dates

  • June 30th, 2011 (extended): Deadline for submission of workshop papers
  • July 15th, 2011: Notification to the authors
  • July 20th, 2011: Late registration begins
  • July 30th, 2011: Deadline for final camera ready paper submission
  • September 13th 2011: HCI@LArge at CHItaly 2011

Workshop Proceedings

All submitted papers will be blindly peer-reviewed by at least two referees and the accepted ones will be published in digital form within the ACM Digital Library (see section: workshop paper format).

An extended version of the most interesting proposals will be published in a special issue of the IxD&A Journal (ISSN 1826-9745): http://www.scuolaiad.it/IxDEA/

The extended version of the papers have to prepared according to IxD&A Journal's Guidelines. Further information will be provided to the authors of the selected papers.
