Short bio

Paolo Mereu graduated in Civil Engineering, Architecture and Urban Planning Section in the academic year 1990/91 at the University of Cagliari with a grade of 110/110 cum laude. He obtained his professional qualification in May 1992. Specialized in Urban Planning, Environment and Territory, at the University of Cagliari in the academic year 1992/1993 with an end-of-course thesis entitled "The Role of Technology in Territorial Changes, the Wired City". He worked as an Engineer in the field of urban planning, public and private construction and public works. Since 1995 he has carried out his activities at public administrations, municipalities and Metropolitan Cities and is currently Director of the Mobility and Water Road, Environment, Planning and Local Development Sectors at the Metropolitan City of Cagliari. He carries out research on the relationships between sustainable road construction and territorial planning.
