Materials and Structures Testing Laboratory

The Materials and Structures Testing Laboratory is dedicated to the mechanical characterization of materials and experimental testing on structural elements and systems. The laboratory's activities include static and dynamic tests on construction materials (such as steel, concrete, wood, and composite materials), as well as tests on structural components at full or reduced scale. The laboratory has access to advanced instruments for performing tensile, compression, bending, fatigue, and impact tests, as well as structural monitoring. It carries out research activities, supports teaching, and provides consulting services for public and private entities.

Software for structural analysis, equipment for calibration checks of instruments used in non-destructive in-situ structural investigations, machines for the static and dynamic characterization of materials and structures.
