1984, degree in Natural Sciences at the University of Sassari.

1986-1990, high school teacher of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.
1991-2001, technical collaborator at the Institute of Botany at the University of Sassari and manager of the Laboratory of Ecology.
2001-2006, researcher at the Department of Botany and Plant Ecology at the University of Sassari.
2006 to present, associated professor in Ecology at the University of Sassari.
2006-2011, deputy director of the Department of Botany and Plant Ecology at the University of Sassari.
1996/97 and 1997/98, contract professor at the University of Sassari, degree course of Environmental Sciences, for “Phytoecology of inland waters”.

She had also taking part in a number of other projects of Sardinia Region.
Since 1997 she has been co-operating, within the activities between the University of Sassari and the Faculty of Aquatic Products at the University of Istanbul (Turkey).
The present scientific research work mainly concerns phytoplankton, with reference to its ecology in lakes, ponds and coastal marine areas, particularly for eutrophication and potentially toxic and harmful species on different spatial and temporal scales.
