PhD student

Gaia Sebastiana Ferraro, architect, is a PhD candidate in Architecture and Environment at the Department of Architecture, Design and Urban Planning of the University of Sassari. She graduated with honors in Architecture in 2024. Her academic activity combines theoretical research and design experimentation, with a particular focus on collective housing, spatial regulation, and the behavioral influence exerted by spatial design. Her interests also include design practices capable of engaging with individuals’ cognitive processes. She is a member of the PRIN research network “Investigating Non-Linguistic Regulation (NAND)” and has taken part in scientific initiatives at national and international levels. She carried out a visiting student program in Portugal and has participated, as part of a team, in architectural design competitions, receiving several awards.
