Joint Student - Teaching Staff Committee

The Joint Student - Teaching Staff Committee (Art. 9, Departmental Regulations) is responsible for monitoring the quality of the educational offering and collecting feedback from students, with the goal of continuously improving the Department’s teaching services. Specifically, it:

  • monitors and evaluates the performance of degree programs and the quality of teaching;
  • proposes criteria for assessing outcomes and suggests improvements to the organization of courses;
  • provides opinions to the Degree Program Council on the activation or closure of degree programs, the revision of curricula, and the alignment between assigned credits and the intended learning objectives.

In the Department of Architecture, Design and Urban Planning, student feedback is considered essential. The Committee’s annual reports and regular meetings provide opportunities to gather input from student representatives across the different degree programs (Architecture and Project Sciences – L17; Urban Planning – L21; Master’s in Architecture – LM4; Planning and Policies for the City, Environment and Landscape – LM48; and the Design program – L4). These contributions help generate proposals for improving and adjusting the structure of academic programs, both in terms of content and consistency with study plans and their overall management.
