Short bio

Matilde Pileri is a PhD candidate in Architecture and Environment at the University of Sassari, where she researches the relationship between language, sustainability and food systems. Her work focuses on the semantic and pragmatic dimensions of sustainability-related concepts and on how linguistic framings shape ethical, cultural, social and spatial practices within ecological transition. 
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and a Master’s degree in Philosophical Sciences from the University of Milan, where she completed a thesis titled "The Pragmatics of Sustainability: A Philosophical Inquiry into Its Meaning, Communication and Conceptual Evolution". Her research adopts an interdisciplinary approach combining philosophy of language, pragmatism, environmental and food studies. 
Alongside her academic work, she is co-founder of small-scale agricultural initiatives focused on sustainable food production.
