Technical and scientific support

Andrea Sias is a research technologist at the University of Sassari, affiliated with the Department of Architecture, Design, and Urban Planning. He conducts research and provides technical and scientific support in the fields of architectural visualisation and advanced digital modelling, with a particular focus on the integration of BIM and Digital Twin systems.
His work focuses on the use of immersive technologies, such as virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR), for the visualisation, exploration, and simulation of complex spaces, with applications in design and management.
Concurrently, he works on prototyping and 3D printing for the communication and promotion of historical and cultural heritage, through the production of physical models to support educational and outreach initiatives.
