Conference ICoNSoM 2026

From June 11 to 18, 2026, the fourth edition of the International Conference on Nonlinear Solid Mechanics (ICoNSoM 2026) will be held at the “Santa Chiara” Complex (Bastioni Pigafetta, Alghero).

The event is organized by the International Research Center on Mathematics and Mechanics of Complex Systems (M&MoCS) at the University of L’Aquila and the Dynamics and Vibrations of Systems and Structures Lab at Westlake University (China), in collaboration with the Department of Architecture, Design, and Urban Planning at the University of Sassari.

The conference represents an important international opportunity for discussion on the latest developments in the field of nonlinear solid mechanics, bringing together scholars and researchers from various academic and scientific institutions.

On Monday, June 15, 2026, at the Gavì Ballero Civic Theater in Alghero, the conference’s plenary session will be held, featuring internationally renowned scholars, including:

• Prof. Yonggang Huang, Northwestern University (USA)
• Prof. Duan Huiling, Peking University (China)
• Dr. Boris Kolev, ENS Paris-Saclay (France)
• Prof. Daniel Balzani, Ruhr University Bochum (Germany)

On the same day, Dr. Boris Kolev will be awarded the Levi-Civita International Prize for Mathematical Sciences and Mechanics.
