DADU Open Days 2026 During April, May and June 2026, the Department of Architecture, Design and Urban Planning (DADU) hosted three Open Days at the Santa Chiara Complex in Alghero, offering prospective students the opportunity to explore the Department, meet academic staff and current students, and receive guidance in selecting their future course of study. The Open Days were designed to present the Department's educational offer in an integrated manner, introducing its three degree programmes in Architecture, Urban Planning and Design. The events aimed to illustrate the distinctive features of each programme, highlighting the different disciplinary perspectives, professional profiles and educational strengths that define each field of study. The first part of each event consisted of presentations delivered by academic staff, who introduced the degree programmes by outlining their educational aims, the different scales of design addressed throughout the curriculum, the teaching approaches adopted, the structure of the programmes, opportunities for international mobility, graduate career prospects, and the admission requirements.Participants were then invited to tour the Santa Chiara Complex, visiting the teaching spaces and design studios where learning, research and project-based activities take place throughout the academic year. One of the highlights of the Open Days was the opportunity for prospective students to meet current students from the three degree programmes, together with the Department's student ambassadors. In a dedicated exhibition area displaying a selection of projects produced within the design activities, current students shared their academic experiences, presented representative examples of their work, and discussed the educational value of the studio-based activities that form a central component of the Department's teaching. The overall format of the Open Days was designed to encourage meaningful interaction between prospective students, academic staff and current students, creating a welcoming environment in which participants could engage in informal discussion, ask questions, and gain first-hand insight into the Department's learning environment and academic community.
