The Volpriehausen Mb, composed of aeolian sandstones, shows excellent porosity (24.6%) and permeability (807 mD). The Rødby structure provides four-way dip closure for trapping. Experiments reveal low mineral reactivity with CO₂, mainly calcite dissolution. These characteristics make the formation a safe and efficient site for long-term carbon storage.Lars Bjørn Clemmensen is Professor Emeritus of Sedimentology at the Department of Geosciences and Natural Resource Management, University of Copenhagen.
